Well, that answers the question about the short scale TMB30's coming in colors other than black. The ivory one looks gorgeous to me:

Wonder if on the TMB-30 the knobs are Tone, Balance, Volume.....

or did they stick with the Mikro setup where you have Tone plus two individual Volumes for each pup rig..

What's that little black slider switch for on the other two basses...guessing pup select?

On the TMB30, it's apparently Volume, Volume, Tone.

The little switch on the others is EQ On, EQ Off.

Concentric knobs -- the control layout is easier to see on the Ibanez webpages for the individual basses:

Though actually, the little switch on the TMB300 model does something else.

I don't understand the knob placement on this thing.. why go to the trouble of mounting a metal plate on the front and then sticking a random extra knob to the pickguard? Am I just weird?

I think it's just a style thing. It was one of the minor things that put me off, along with the tort pickguard, of the TMB300 and TMB100 models when they first came out -- not a deal-killer, but still. Anyway, I actually think the short scale TMB30 layout looks the best of all the Talman basses, with the black plastic knobs, one on the chrome jack plate and the other two on the black pickguard. Just my aesthetic opinion, of course, but now I don't have any reservations about possibly picking up one of these.

Most of them don't, only the TMB2000 and the TMB600/TMB605 do. BUT those particular models look super dope and I want all of them.

I really like the ivory, too. This could be a good alternative to the Squier Jag SS. If nothing else, it looks like it would balance much better.
