i had been gassing for one for several years but needed to be financially responsible. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. Car is paid off, ordered the bass from Musicians’ Friend on 48 monks no interest. It was partly for therapy due to some other issues which were resolved shortly after in a very pleasantly surprising way (but I am keeping the bass). Paid for overnight shipping to my workplace since I didn’t want it sitting out on my porch.

The adventure begins... next day I get a call from the front office. “Your package is here, but it doesn’t seem to be a bass...”. I was surprised but figured the secretary was just messing with me. Turns out she wasn’t. Somehow the warehouse sent me a bass drum head... I upload pics and call Musician’s Friend, and ask the rep for his email since he wasn’t going to believe me. After he sees them he is shocked but looks into it and calls me back a couple hours later. He tracked down the issue and the pics helped with his 3 supervisors. He sends a return label for the drum head, and ships me a new one with a refund of the overnight shipping and a 7% coupon applied ($125) Worth it for the discount. It arrives the next day and it just sings. Of course, I need some string recommendations. It came with a tort pick guard and ashtrays to install (no way, the sunburst it too pretty to cover).
