Fretting. The Evo Gold wire seems to really complement the birdseye. Can't wait to hit it with some Danish Oil and make the grain really pop.
I love birdseye maple necks and fretboards. I have no idea why I don't use it more often. That is a very nice piece you found there.
After final sanding. This is my first time using the Luminlays with the black piping and I think they look fantastic against the lighter colored wood.
Next stop...seeing how they illuminate. 
And here's the whole neck on the bench with all the lights in the shop turned off. In my mind, these have rendered standard non-glowing side dots obsolete. I will never build another instrument without these things.

A little amber and yellow dye on the headstock burl to really get a nice tiger striping.
The fingerboard has been sealed up with five coats of Varathane oil-based spray...it looks fantastic. I'm going to do the rest of the neck in Tru Oil, let it cure up a week or two, and then buff and wax to a nice warm sheen.
A sixth coat of spray on the headstock to help seal up the burl. Even with a sealer on the walnut, it drank up about three coats before it started to build evenly. The blue tape covers up the truss rod adjustment nut from overspray.
