Seal-A-Cell is applied over the dye and the burl top really pops.

First coat of Arm-R-Seal. Too nice to work inside today, so it's all about luthierie in the sun.

I spotted a section along the upper horn that I thought might have been the result of a poorly blended dye line, so I went back to the early photos to see if it was still there. Thankfully one of the early images of the top revealed that it is indeed part of the grain pattern. It's just to the left of the neck pocket and extends upwards and out.

I decided the Stew Mac Invalid Link Removed was $88 too expensive for what is basically a tube of steel and some screws, so I came up with my own alternative.

Total cost: $6.50 and a trip to Lowe's.

Four coats on now. This thing kinda reminds of some of the Fbasses I've seen!
