Control cavity and cover area is routed out, and an aluminum plate has been epoxied to the inside of the cavity floor to support the underlying burl with plenty of rigidity and strength. The holes for electronics have also been drilled out.

Yesterday, final sanding on the body and I had a chance to get some color on the walnut!

The body and the neck are ready to go and I have mixed up a few shades for highlights.
