You could run 4, 8 ohm
.or even one 4 ohm, and one 8 ohm

The chart shown in post #3249 of this thread clarifies all, in my opinion.

Your combination give 2.67 ohms so you are ok in two ohms position.

In my calculation it give 800*(2/2.66)/3cabs = 200watts / cab

Yes, set the impedance switch on the back of the amp to the 2 ohm position.

What I really wanted is to ditch the 12's and get the Mesa 2x15 cab. That would be a nice rig but the wife nixed that saying I'm to old to lift the cab (74). I said I don't lift it , it has wheels and runners on the back so I can slide it into the back of the suv. It's not the cost factor she railing against, it's the weight. The 15 cab is 37 lbs, the 12's are 30 lbs each. So I will try that approach, a 15 for low end and the 12's sitting on top should be quite formidable on the stage. we are a loud band and I'm just trying to do my part thanks for your help Andy.

I have the Subway 215, it’s a cannon, Love this cabinet. As far as the weight, I’m not sure if the weight shown in the spec is actual or boxed. The cabinet just seems lighter, maybe it’s just really well balanced with the handle placement. It’s just very easy to lift and to move. It really doesn’t seem to be any heavier than my subway 210s.

My band just purchased a very large PA and it has 4 18" subs... So their telling me that I really don't need an amp anymore just a monitor, but I like my own amp and I don't like someone else controlling the volume dial. This is an ongoing project, methinks that I will finally get my Mesa 2x15 cab as an 80th birthday present.

After "accidentally" trying a SW 215 at a rented practice space a few months ago and falling into an instant "must have" state, I auditioned the 215 and 115........went with the 115. Although my AK Hathor 1203 remains my #one fave cab, that's partly because I can easily carry it up 3 flights of stairs in 1 hand and it'll handle a loud 4 piece rock setting. The SW 15 sound is my fave overall sound.........no need for the 215 in terms of tone as they sound so similar (identical?) to my ear.....just get a nice stand for the 38lb 115....and no need to wait for 80

I would 100% go with 2 x 210, for the benefits of a vertical line array. And you’ll hear yourself much better, since the speakers will be higher up, closer to your ears, instead of the 410 firing at your knees. Personally, I don’t plan on ever again owning a cab with a traditional 2x2 speaker arrangement.

I went into "the lab" this morning and try to replicate that tone with my LaBella 1954 strung P bass with the sponge rubber mute under the bridge thing through my WD 800 joint. Guess what? Nailed it! Sans the playing ability and tape hiss I was getting that nasty almost, spitty distortion that we hear on those iso tracks.

This goes out to all the WD 800s in the world tonight...

Let me settle on one. I've been going back and forth between a couple. One that replicates the studio sound
as I hear it through my playback system. Into right now, a David Eden CX 110 to match the playback, and more of a gig friendly version that has a little more bottom end to drive the speaker. Less flat and DI sounding. Plus, I don't have my tech with me to take a photo to share. Too lazy to leave "the lab" right now Plus I am using the LaBellas 1954s which on their own will drive the front end of an amp

HPF: 11- 2
Bass: 1-2:30
Para Mids: All flat
Passive Mid: 12 noon
Treble: 12 noon
Master: 9-11
Damping: Mid
Or some variation of all that
And again, P bass with LaBella 1954 flats with mute under bridge cover into an Eden CX 110 right this minute.
