That 2x12 really hits a "sweet spot" in terms of price vs. capability!

Oh my. $1199 for the Subway 2x12. That's about $350 less than a Barefaced BigTwin II and pretty much the same weight.
Is there any chance of issuing an ultra low power version? Because I'd bet a Mesa Boogie WD-40 would be really slick.

I for one am really quite happy with my D-800. I prefer a more simple/less-complicated EQ section. One of the things that I liked the least about my old M-Pulse was the parametric EQ. My guess is that you will be very happy with your new D-800.Great! I just purchased a d800 yesterday expected to arrive next mon.
But then I might just be happy with a d800.

well, another plus for me is that now I can stop looking at Noble, Arkham and Broughton tube pre's. I had been thinking about trying to add one of these to the front end of the D800+ for more tube goodness ... but with the WD-800 out I think I can stop that search.Chef and I had the opportunity to play the prototype WD-800 heads during development. They are quite nice! It's like a WA+ in the tone and voicing features department with Subway horsepower you can use confidently with 2 Ohm loads.
The Subway fans now have a tube pre-amp version with lots of EQ and less of a Carbine centered voicing. The WA crowd just got a an enhanced, high horsepower, modern, second generation WA. Add that to all the other cool stuff announced today and most of us will need a second job to payoff credit card bills if we're not careful.

Nobody posted the updated version of the subway DI aka D800+ preamp
