Well, just hang a bit longer. I emailed service a week or so ago, and Pat himself got back to me saying that a Ray 34 fretless is in planned and in the works, possibly 2012. I SOOOOOOO can't wait!!! These new CA models are sweet-looking, too. SBMM basses are so fast becoming one of, if not the best-in-their-class-and price range basses out there. I hear that the guitars are just as awesome.

Well...You can do what I'm doing.
Getting both and put the maple neck on the mint green sell the other.

For anyone that cares, the board has been confirmed as a 10" radius by Pat. A classic 7.5" would have been the answer to all of my dreams, but I'm still interested.

I played the Ray from past year; wasn't too impressed by the single pickup tbh... The tonal variety is just... not there (or at least less than other basses I'm used to)

Mine just arrived today. Slapped some flats on it and although we're definitely still in our honeymoon period, this bass is bad-ass.

This Sterling neck profile is interesting. I never warmed up to them years ago but I can see myself liking this.

The 2 band reminds me a LOT of the pre-EBs I've owned. I don't know how anyone could say these electronics are a "bit thin". This sucker's PHAT. Boom boom boom.

More as I play it thoroughly.

How are you guys running your 2 band eq?

I have a SUB and I run bass full, treble totally cut (sometimes add a little). Doesn't always work, so then I am cutting bass, but it is not as easy to get a consistent tone like the 3 band on my 30th.

I love the mint green, but I am hoping it is voiced differently than the SUB.
