Not according to the MTD website. You might be right though. Mistakes happen. If it is real ebony, that would be even better ... not so good for my wallet though
My Dana B. Goods friends told me it was Ebony, thats why there is an up charge for fretless. Now I'm might just have to call them up and double check!

We used to carry them at L&M...I'm looking for a retailer too! Let's stay in touch on that!

Looks like Steve's Music in Toronto is my best option...I'll have to go in undercover, LOL!
Edit: Erickson Music is the current Canadian Distributer, they list only three locations in Ontario:
