Out of all the G&Ls I've had before (and the ones I still have) these are my all time favorites. Keepers.

Hmm, they sold basses for you, you say? On consignment? I might have to check into that...

They don't take a cut if you put the funds towards a purchase. And because they're a shop with a good reputation (and a nice camera), they get good prices for them. They got $1,000 for my lefty LB-100.

Just invert the photo. It’s far less painful and then they are playable.

Reminds me of a Willy Nelson tune I heard before, I think it went like “All the G&L’s I’ve loved before”......I think that was the chorus.

You know I've had this bass for about a year now yet never did a thread on it. Now, a year and many hours of playing later I feel I can very honestly sing it's praises.

I've been pretty much a Fender Bass guy most of my playing career with only a few diversions during that era when Fender couldn't build a decent bass to save their souls.

I have both a PBass and a Jazz Bass and once again I wanted to add a 5 string so upon the recommendation of a good friend I thought I'd give G&L a shot. After all these basses are still very much the work of Leo Fender but also where Fender Basses may have ended up had Leo never sold out.

I came across this one on Reverb from a G&L dealer in MA, Upfront Guitars. It was in a finish I liked and listed in VG condition although IMHO they actually understated that. I'd evaluate it as excellent at worst.

It's a 2009 Tribute which is fine with me since there isn't a whole lot of difference between it and a US model. If I wanted one in a specific finish made to my own specs I'd go the route of a US model but in a standard finish like Tobacco Burst the Tribute is close enough and it really is a very impressive bass.
