This is not going to be cheap (US $249), but boy does this look good on paper!!!!
There is some great filter and synth stuff heading down the track in 2019! (Shortly up will also be the SA C4).
- UP and DOWN sweep modes
- analog pitch-tracking system to move the cutoff frequency of the filter based on the notes you play (rather than how hard you play them).
- Low Pass, Band Pass or High Pass modes
- Oscillate mode for monophonic synth sounds
- 100% analog

I love Doug Wimbish BUT I sort of wish someone who plays a scoche more traditionally demo’d it, hehe...
Weird. I love the Mothership 2. It's an amazing pedal. The only negative I would really complain about is the lack of preset capabilities. It tracks great and has a wicked analog synth sound.
Ok that's really good to hear. A few of the comments from other TBers on the Mothership 2 was along the lines of not great tracking etc. so it's really helpful to get that positive counter from you.
I really do like the look of this new filter pedal - it covers a LOT of ground.
I 2nd @ChubbyJerk 's post. The Mothership2 has become a staple to my sound. It's amazing when you use it with an expression pedal. I find it to be a 2 trick pony for me, but I love both tricks. I think a lot of people snagged a MS2 since it was deeply discounted over the holidays expecting it to be the Future Impact and it is not. The tracking is really great on it, but it is a synth and a synth has a certain sound to it that you should tailor your playing to. I don't think everyone who got one really expected that.
My biggest gripe about the MS2 is the side jacks with power on the top...it makes it take up way more space than it should on my board.
So what I would really like to know is how this Resotron stacks up against say the MXR BEF or the Fwonkbeta? (Or one of the 3Leaf pedals: GR2, Wonderlove or Chromatron).
In theory, with its feature set, it should knock it out the park, but I didn't hear it coming even close on that (really not very good) bass review by Doug Wimbush.

I did buy the Sonuus Wahoo to get this exact sound but gave up using it after a couple of months because I just can't get down with needing a computer to tweak my tone.
The Resotron however, looks and sounds like EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I'm going to shift my MS2 for it, if I can.
No problem. Dave should just do all the demos himself... All the other ones that come direct from Pigtronix are pretty terrible, regardless of which pedal they're demoing. His one of the MS2 really shows what that pedal can do.
That is exactly what I think too. He created it, so he can demonstrate it the best, at least from a functionality standpoint. I really wish there was some bass in there! But I get it and I’m sure this thing will hold the low end very well.
I'm kinda reserving judgement here. I'm not sure that just cos a filter works great on guitar it will be equally good on bass. But hopefully there will be a comparably good bass review posted soon.
At the end of the Koltai demo he makes a point of saying that the fun begins in the lower register and I have had an email discussion with them about it. It’s meant to work equally well for guitar and bass.
