New PJ Mustang at Summer NAMM

Kind getting itchy, itchy enough to get a hold of my Sweetwater rep to let me know the new shipment comes so we can chat about expedited shipping.
Maybe you should give them a call. I just checked the site and it still says 'Arriving Soon' for all 3 colors.
Unless you really need to buy from them, or have money down already or something,

The big honeymoon buzz has pretty much subsided with mine, but I'm still lovin' the Mustang P/J.

I picked up a Sonic Blue Mustang as GC earlier today, I got tired of waiting for ZZounds to get more in. It was up high and out of reach of the masses and they gave it to me for the same price too.
I didn't realize it in the store, but when I plugged in at home, I had a lot of single coil hum in the mid and bridge position. I thought the two would cancel each other out. Anyone have any suggestions to tame the hum? I'm new to single coil basses.
Anyway, I ordered the hard shell case and some Highbeam SS when I got home too. Very happy with it.

Oh - and marh451 - no hum from mine.
Edit: I had a Mikro that had a problem with hum.
It turned out to be a ground wire
under the bridge that wasn't making good contact.
Minor thing to fix, but annoying before it was taken care of.

Thanks, I'll have to look into it further. I'm wondering if it isn't the location of my amp. It's the same corner of the house where the electrical comes in, so I'm actually sitting above where my fuse box is. Could be a stretch, I don't know. I have 45 days to make up my mind. Lol!

Sad to say I had to sell my Mustang P/J to pay the mortgage this month. I'm job hunting currently. I purchased a cheaper Classic Vibe 60's Jazz used, but after getting used to the shorter scale it's actually painful to play the 34 inch. I've got it listed on CL and hoping to move it to fund the purchase of another shorter scale bass soon.
I appreciate your sympathy. I'm hoping to move this jazz bass and find something shortscale and cheap CL to hold me over.

I'm lucky. After being on a buying/selling frenzy for several years,

After playing my Mustang, I simply cannot go back to full scale. In fact, trying to force the technique I've developed on the 30" scale actually causes a lot of pain for me, so I've just put the thing down.
Ultimately, I believe I can manage that technique on a 32" scale bass. I did some research and medium scale is not too far from short. The first 5 frets are only 1/2 longer overall, whereas it's a whole inch extra for the 34" scale.
Also, I do like the sound a bit better of the longer scale, though my Mustang really did sound great on the bridge J. The P never quite grabbed me all alone, and only sounded good when mixed with the bridge.
Nobody seems to talk about cases a whole lot here so i just wanted to share some pics of the Rondo Music case i purchased.

The pics showed up fine - looks like a perfect fit, and a lot less money than the Fender one.
Does it seem like it will hold up OK - build quality?
Also - sounds like BusyFingers is in the market for a 32" scale jazz bass.
Yep, I'm still waiting on mine from Sweetwater too. I hope Moog is better at meeting shipping estimates than Fender is (looking forward to bleep blooping with a Cluster Flux).
