Very cool shapes Oscar. I really like the look of the Classic double cut too. If I'm not mistaken, that is the shape JAUQO III-X's 15-string was, correct?

Back on topic. This bass is going to be beautiful, and I'm sure it will play effortlessly and sound fantastic.

Yes, Jauqo's bass have the classic shape, but just a little modified because it is 32"... and 15 string!

The classic was a new shape that I introduced for the first time in this last NAMM show (last month). I only make 3 basses in this time with this shape: Jauqo's, Miguel Lezcano's (the blond one with the pickguard and the black ramp) and James Phillips':

Is it because of the camera angle, or does that bass have a very narrow nut width and string spacing?

Yes, this is the camera angle, probably. 19mm string spacing at brigge, 38mm nut width, just like a jazz bass.

Ok, so I was working a little bit today with Sean bass. I was making the fingerboard, because I want to use the last of a very special and beautiful piece of Macassar ebony that I have.
Quartersaw, very hard, and very, very beautiful

So, I was cutting it to the right size, and making the fret slots.

Lot of work, today. I was starting selecting and cutting the ebony for the body wings top and back:

Then, same with the padouk....

After make some passes with the planner, I have all pieces ready, with the final shape.
Mmmmmmmm, I like this sandwich!
