It seems amazingly fast to me. I have always (for almost 50 years) played Jazz basses because I have small hands and a big chunky neck seemed like I'd struggle. Well, dummy me missed out. I am a P bass aficionado now! I don't think the neck seems huge at all. I had it leveled, crowned and polished and added a bone nut. Absolutely no dead spots anywhere on the neck.

After thinking of what my perfect custom bass might be for the last 50 years, I finally have put together all the parts for MY custom bass - I have small hands and have always played a Jazz and recently I decided I wanted to have a P bass...but the right P bass. The chambered body was created by Todd at Portland Fret Works and Pat Wilkins did the finish. The pup is a Split-Coil P bass pickup by Lollar Guitars.
