New Precision Bass Day!

After thinking of what my perfect custom bass might be for the last 50 years, I finally have put together all the parts for MY custom bass - I have small hands and have always played a Jazz and recently I decided I wanted to have a P bass...but the right P bass. The chambered body was created by Todd at Portland Fret Works and Pat Wilkins did the finish. The pup is a Split-Coil P bass pickup by Lollar Guitars. Overall weight is 7.11 lbs and it sounds absolutely STUNNING!

It’s ssooooo quilty too, that you just know it’s going to be warm and plush! Great dream bass!

cool looking. what neck is that, and how does it sound?

The neck is Fender Part No 0992010921, Fender Classic Series 70's Precision Bass Maple w/ Block Inlays. It sounds STUNNING. In my mind, I built this bass to play classic rock from say 65-80 and the Lollar Split-Coil pup absolutely KILLS.

I hadn't even gone there yet. I have barely begun scratching the surface for "green" songs. Gary Hoey's "The Grinch" is a good fit I think
