New Releases for 2004

First of all, I am really excited for the new Incubus CD. I thought their new bassist's playing sounded pretty good on their Live @ Lollapalooza disc, and I love Megalomaniac. But the release I'm most excited for: Alien Vs. Predator. August 6th. It's gonna be sweet.

Bill Dickens has a solo cd due out which should be interesting to hear, and I'd love to get the new Air album.

There's an Alien vs. Predator movie coming out?? Awesome! I've got the old Dark Horse comics.

DESCENDENTS!!!! New Descendents EP comes out Feb 10th, and new album March 23rd I think. I can't wait. :)

Also Propagandhi, Strung Out, My Chemical Romance and New Found Glory and hopefully a full-length from Hidden In Plain View.

I TOTALLY forgot about the descendents reunion. I can't wait. While I pretty much despise NFG, I gotta admit I like the old stuff. I think they're on hold since guitarist Chad rejoined his old hardcore band Shai Halud for their farewell tour.

I'm glad to see you mentioned Hidden In Plain View. I saw them live opening for the early november at an extremely small venue. I was literally right in the entire bands face their whole set. There were maybe 30 people watching...but in a cramped venue it seems like alot. I sang with the vocalist for a few seconds of a song (being only a foot away helps)

Yeah, I saw them about 2 weeks ago on the Euro Drive-Thru tour with Homegrown, Allister and Early November. They were really impressive, I'd only heard a couple of songs before from HIPV.

Yeah, NFG, their older stuff is pretty good, although the latest album was better than I expected. Yeah, I heard Shai Halud were splitting...everyone is at the moment, such as Fairweather, Further Seems Forever and (a little while back I know) Five Iron Frenzy. :bawl:

I'm sure there's a couple of other decent bands bringing new stuff out in 2004. Allister and Finch are two more that spring to mind.

(I had to keep this on topic, so that's why I started talking about the 2004 releases at the end of the post.:p )

thanks, but I haven't got a credit card for online ordering.
I'm watching the HMV racks as the album isn't selling (5 or 6 copies in the Oxford St. store), and it must be getting reduced soon.

As a true Living Colour fan let me tell you not to expect too much about that album.
I bought it a month ago and just listened to it twice. No point of comparison with Vivid, Time´s up or Stain.
A step backwards.

OTOH, I´m really anxious about new albums from Michael Manring and Vic Wooten.

The new Death Angel as mentioned before by JMX.

I talked to Rob after a show and he was pretty excited about the new album. Also the previous cd's will be re-released, The Ultraviolence, Frolic in the Park and Act Three.
That's a good thing sine I have The Ultraviolence and Frolic on cassette.

I'm also thinking that Tool's next offering will be later than 2004 (unfortunately). A buddy of mine got to ask Danny Carey about it at NAMM, apparently they're working on instrumental parts right now, and mailing tapes to Maynard.

BUT, I'm hoping Porcupine Tree comes out with something, the Belew/Claypool/Carey project will hopefully be out this year, maybe a few more studio bands will bust out the goods as well.
