They have never really sounded 'red hot' but more like mild. Boring mostly.I wonder if it will continue the trend of being less and less funky...
They lost me after Mother's Milk. So Fruscianti's not in anymore, eh? Again?

I hope not. I liked the sound on stadium arcadium, but I agree it's missing some of the magik of the blood sugar era.
Dear Lord, I'm ridiculously excited about this! I personally thought that 'Warlocks' and 'She's only 18' off SA were quite funky, but hey, that's just me! I think also, that BSSM, MM, FS, and UMPP as one group and BTW, Californication and SA as another (One Hot Minute being a bit of a curveball) are really quite different types of music, but I love them both! I think that the solo at the end of 'Wet Sand' is possibly the most emotion-filled piece of music I've ever heard, and I love it.
Yeah, She's Only 18 was quite funky in my opinion. They still have funky songs, they just aren't the singles. In reality they never were once BSSM hit.

Me too. I thought Mother's Milk was brilliant -- their best album! Haven't really liked anything since...
