The red one is pretty! But I can't imagine Rickenbacker just letting this slide...

The copyright is in the headstock. otherwise, and unless there's patents involved, everything else is up for grabs as far as I know..

Early Charvel was like that.

I saw this bass recently on Sweetwater's site and thought it was interesting. Not something I'd run out to buy but it definitely got my attention with it's look.

Early Charvels were customer 7enders sent in for modification.
