New Rush thread

For those who have heard "Snakes and arrows"...what do you think? Strong and weakpoints? I think "Spindrift" is a one mean tune. "Malignant narcissism" is just as good."Main monkey business is a great one. A lot of the songs are more mellow with a good part acoustic. Im not really digging "the larger bowl" though.

I have it since last Monday but the song arrangement is incorrect. I LOVE it!!!!

There is one song that I like less than the other but I still love it. I'll get the title when I I buy the CD tomorrow.

Both instrumentals ROCK!!!!
Two Rush instrumentals?!?

Can you tell us a little about them?

I'm also curious what era of Rush the new cd resembles the most.

Im realy loving "The main monkey Buisness" i also love the way geddy plays bass now adays, its more straight forward than earlier, but it adds a kinda punch to the songs.. i dont think the bass line to "closer to the heart" would have suited alot of their new stuff.. Imo, it is very, very good music. but hey, its Rush, have they ever REALY failed at making music?

In retrospect after playing bass...I look at bands and see bands where the bass player just doesn't bring anything to the table. With Rush everyone brings plenty to the table. There are some bands where even having a bassist seems unneccessary. I wont name any bands because I am not starting a flaming match.
