The first pics didn't show the color corretly. They looked Baby Blue. Here are some better ones. And our kids diggin' Rogers stuff!

I have decided not to refinish the bass. Only thing I am doing is putting in Sadowsky Humcancelling J's and the VTC upgrade. Leaving the rest the way it came. I just couldn't cut into the body to make it an MM/J.

AND... the color is growing on me! Damn it! :rollno: LOL

I really like the color, though I'd accent it with a white or white-pearl pickguard. Maybe a black pickguard to carry on the black from the ebony fingerboard. I'm a sucker for that classic J-bass look, so if it was mine, I'd stick a pickguard on it and see if the chrome control plate could be installed. Regardless, it's your bass and it looks pretty darn good as it is. Nice score. Cute kids, too!

Yeah, maybe a white or white pearl guard. HMMM?

I may also add a Chrome Pickup cover. Marcus must have had one on it because there are screw holes above and below the neck pickup. (thanks nino ;) )

This is going to be my funk/disco/hip hop bass. I will use it ONLY on those gigs.

Mike, The more I look at that bass , the more I think the color is VERY close to my Namm 3 of 10, here's a shot of that with Chrome pickup cover and white pearl (original) pickguard. I have a pickup cover on order for my new one too. The blue on yours is more (electric) but about the same "hue" value. If you want to check out the color beter it's up on Rogers site in the archives under RV5's

Before, I thought it was over-the-top for sure.

Now, it looks good. IMO, it doesn't show enough wood.


Definately fits the funk/disco/hip-hop look though. It just needs a Sadowsky Pre and P/ups (I too dislike Barts).

It has the Sadowsky pre. The Humcancelling J's and VTC control is on the way.

They are pretty close. That is the Corsica Mica Blue right?

This is different but they are close. I think the White Pearloid halfguard might look great.

Hey, if you buy one of those do you get a life-time's worth of free chairopractic care to go with it?

Whatever happened to a Fender Jazz or Precision.

4 STRINGS YOU FREAKS!!!!

That's all anyone will EVER need! These things are good for nothing more than to compensate for small penises, to stroke your overly inflated egos or just to show off!!
