Very tempting to see if they’d consider shipping to the uk. Think I’ll hold out for a retailer here to restock them. At least that way I’ve got the option to return if it’s not for me.

First impressions are great, very high quality, looks great and has a great range of tonal options.
I now have a Capo, Model feT and Mother on my board fighting for a permanent place but I’m not sure I can choose. I also have the HX One and Noble emulation technically too as a sweetener.
All of them bring something cool to the table. The Mother is way more versatile than the feT, 2 channels and a bunch of tone shaping options. That being said even with depth cranked it never quite gets to the smooth thick sludge fest that the feT can.
I love the flavours of dirt the Mother gives though, much better than the Capo. The Capo is kind of the ultimate bass toolkit though for any situation.
The Mother is staying, probably swapping places with the Model feT which I might try as a drive instead.
Band split up so no gigs or practices to attend so tempted to experiment a little maybe build an EAE board with OxEAE Fuzz > Halberd v2 > Dagger v2 > Model feT > Mother

Also as a side note, Science have free IRs on their site for some of their bass and guitar cabs. They’re really good from what I’ve heard so far! Possibly my new favourite IRs after the free Shiftline ones.

Been trying to sell a few pedals to fund it (mantic vitriol, eq2 etc), but with how long it seems to be between batches + the going prices, figured it was worth jumping in now instead

I’ve been using the Mother for a few months. Its comparatively based on the Hiwatt DR103 so I like it for an Entwistle or Wetton (King Crimson) vibe on bass, but heavier... I use Channel A as more of a clean-ish channel, post-dirt eq, and it takes effects well. Channel B has more gain range with crunchy touch sensitive distortion, tight lows, and crisp highs. I've gone back and forth between using it as a dirt pedal or preamp, but I prefer the DI Out's amp-like voicing and I've settled on running it direct or into my amp's FX return. ..However, I dial in the EQ differently for each channel, so my only knit pick is that I wish both channels didn't share 1 EQ. Other than that, its a killer pedal and an impressive design. IMO, YMMV

Also picked up a two notes Opus to try as a speaker sim for recording and headphone practice + using as a direct rig when needed - haven't dabbled in speaker sims outside of the helix and quad cortex, which I don't use with my main analog board.
Seems like it'd pair really well with the Mother's amp out, since I can use a power amp sim on the Opus as well.

I think you'll like it. I'm always pretty impressed with how good it sounds on bass. I wasn’t really sold on the driven channel at first but it’s really grown on me over time, especially in a mix/band context.
Its very capture-able on the QC too, I’ve taken some captures of my favourite settings which I can use for bass or guitar as a shorthand instead of having to constantly dial them in if I’m switching between.

Same. I struggled a bit with Channel B's higher gain tones at home. It was a lot easier to dial-in at practice and the Absence control smooths things out nicely. Cabs also made a difference. I liked it better through Ampeg 4x10's vs Mesa 12's (I need to try the Science 6x10 and 2x15 IR's). I still favor Channel A on bass, though. The cleans and saturation are great. Alex and John nailed the tube emulation.

I’ve been using the QCs built in Hiwatt 103 model and it’s pretty close to the Mother, not surprising considering it’s lineage.
The Mother definitely has something extra though besides it’s ability to get dirty if needed.
I just set up a patch with my Dagger+Model Fet capture into the Mother and it sounded so thick and filthy.

I'm looking forward to using it in front of my Mesa Strategy, and comparing dirt pedals into it (longsword, MBD, doom 2 and green Russian fuzz, alpha omega, and b7k)
The strategy is the beefiest amp I've ever played through, but unless you're insanely loud and driving the power tubes, it won't sound driven with the gain at half or so where I tend to like it (edge of breakup)... And if you push the gain or boost it, its drive isn't super pleasant. Thinking the mother into it will be really gnarly.
I'll also be A-Bing direct tones vs my capo (my go to most times, including into the amp for saturation) and shift line olympic - definitely lots of awesome options heh, especially once the Opus gets here.
Really only using my quad cortex with guitar lately, but that all may change once plugins work and the new processing stuff is added.

I've shelved my SLO for the time being which dethroned my Capo so curious how you get on.
I miss the Longsword but I do really love the Dagger and Halberd.
I popped the Mother into my board, intending to AB it with the Capo, but... Call me crazy... It sounds great with the DCX running into the Mother and then the Capo.
Took my Alpha Omega/MBD (usually fighting for that spot for heavy dirt) off the board to squeeze it in there, and I may just keep it like this and use the Mother for heavy dirt on channel 2. Too much tone sweetening? idk heh

I loved having the Model Fet in front of the Capo and SLO.
I’m having a mini renaissance with the Mother, just loving the guitar and bass tones I’m getting. Not tried it on bass but on guitar having the EAE Halberd in front of the B channel thickens it up perfectly.
I’ve been aiming to slim down to just the QC, Cali76 and maybe an expression pedal on my board but think I may have to got up a size or two to give the Mother, Halberd and Dagger a perm spot too.
Man, I'd love to go back to just QC, synth pedal (maybe not after Rabea is available), and wireless, but the board I've put together just sounds so much better for my tastes
That’s fair, it’s why I can bring myself to sell my SLO, I feel like I’ll probably want to go back to physical pedals at some point and it’s nice to have them there. The Mother is in that boat too, I can get a capture that it practically identical but i know I’d miss it as soon as it went.
Just got the Two Notes Opus and set up a preset using a KT88 tube (like my Mesa Strategy) power amp sim and Subway 410 mic'ed with a Fet 47 (I usually use the united audio version of that) - the Mother sounds amazing through it, particularly using the power amp out!
