New Show Your Jazz!!

Question of the hour: What would you guys rather have:

The Fender jazz bass of your choice , OR
A custom selected jazz bass with parts of your choice from Warmoth.

Give me the Warmoth custom.

In fact, I'm having Nino build one for me now. Just ordered parts. Costs more, admittedly, but I get exactly what I want (serious upgrades, no mere J can even hope to compete), & even more importantly, I get Nino's touches & his precision fit/finish/set-up. Man, I'm excited.

More Serious GB Jazz Gas Attack

the fender jazz bass of my choice, cuz then ill just take Jaco's ACTUAL bass that he used (if its still around) and ill be rich!!!$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

My lakland USA JO, now fretless...I'm local to the Pedulla shop, had them make it fretless with the buzz coating.
Also have a Marcus Miller modified with a strings thru bridge, no preamp, Jason Lollar single coils. Lollar's stuff rules, check it out...

I really dig Curbow's take on the Jazz Bass. What is the neck wood? It's stunning.
Hi, thanks for posting the link to the whole gallery.. I should have done that myself.
Curbow hasn't done too many Jazz basses. I had the idea for that bass and I was lucky enough to be able to meet him, discuss the bass and have him build it. He picked the top from his private stash, and it came out great.. there's a lot of subtle quilting under the birds-eye.
The neck is rockwood. There's a section of Curbow's Web site that explains what it is -- basically, birch veneers saturated with phenolic resin and baked to perfection. Feels like wood, behaves like graphite. The perfect neck material, IMHO.
