Sounds like they're ramping up, must be coming soon. That happened with the M7 as well, fwiw (Thomann showed them first, before Sire USA).No pictures yet, but prices and options:

Crap. I'm going to have to buy another one!Looks like a 5 string will be available !!

Not photoshopped, Dr., Thomann just let the cat out of the bag.Poop, I guess that five I saw was just some Photo Shop picture.

It looks like a lot until you've played with them a bit. They layout makes a lot of sense to me, didn't take long to get the hang of it.Maybe they are having trouble getting ahold of enough knobs![]()
Yeah, I agree, wish they'd made it an option rather than requiring the silly "order an extra neck" business.Umph... all those options.. and no P neck option from the factory. Unbelievable.

That's besides the point, this is obviously a lot more than just a P bass. Nothing wrong with that preamp. You don't have to use it if you don't want, leave it in passive and you've got your 3 knobs. That's beside the point! If you need more than 3 knobs on a P-bass, you're doing it wrong.
They apparently asked customers and found the majority wanted the J neck so that's what they're offering as stock. I still think they should have made the P neck a stock option though. Hoping they reconsider. It's crazy they think the body wood option is more important than the neck type. Why would you want swamp ash plus J-neck on a precision is beyond me, unless you're going custom/boutique. I mean, Sire had one mission: make very good quality instruments affordable to everyone. Just make one alder model with P-neck, 5 different colours/maple/rosewood and cut on production costs!
