Well, really, I don't know what made that one happen quite like it did, but I'm glad I don't have to play that bass anymore, and I think that college has since invested in a proper humidification solution for the room they keep the basses in to try and keep things like that from happening again. But the back on that bass definitely has problems. There's also the time the bridge cracked into four separate pieces not counting the adjusters or feet in the middle of a Mozart rehearsal...
