I just got here this evening and this may have already been posted - if so I am sorry.

I don't get it. How are these "new"?

That caused me some pause too - but Elderly usually has some of the newest stuff posted first - I think the fretless was posted on another site and got yanked off in a few hours - maybe they goofed up - and Elderly seems to be the only place that has these listed so far.

I wonder how this is gonna shake out. This might be a minor faux-pas from Squier to make too many same-o, same-o basses.

I was really expecting to see that VM-Hot Rod that I got wind of a few weeks ago from - (can't tell).

At any rate, I am pretty much only interested in either that Reggie or some other great P/J combo, and these won't need to be in my chorus.

Still --------- a fretless is different and something for me to consider, even if it was in production before.

Hey - a thought too:::
ELDERLY <corrected x3> may have mis-posted some info here too - we saw that happen before from MF - remember?

.

Well, that fretless model has been around since '06, and AFAIK has never been discontinued, hardly what I would call a new bass. Perhaps they're just new to Elderly (not Enderly, Joe). If that's what it is, Elderly must be little slow, LOL.

That's great - I was watching the Tractor Pulls and they said it was sponsored by Enderle - so I just transposed the names.

Actually - if memory serves me - and apparently it doesn't always - Elderly had the VM-Jaguar posted right after that site in Holland had it listed as the next VM-model.

And ain't it amazing how people make a crass assumption about the pots on the Jags as poorly made when it 's just a loose setscrew?

Big paintbrush there methinks.

FWIW: the Fender Hot Rod was an actual bass guitar, as far as I know - but again I am old and without meds tonight too.

I think that all-black '77 looks good though.

The squier VM jazz that comes in natural was supposed to be released in sunburst.

That fretless is old and that other jazz is the 77 and was released a month or 2 back.

Makes me for one wonder why Elderly said they ARE ORDERED AND WILL ARRIVE ---etc, etc.

I somehow missed seeing that '77 though - especially in black-out.

This may be a way to stimulate Xmas sales too with some new models (that aren't really 'new' in the first place).

Remember that Fender has a lot riding on getting these Squiers sold to keep it's own doors open.

Elderly typically only has ONE of these at a time in stock. When the "one" sells, they order another one, and it takes a short period for it to arrive. I bought the last Squier VM fretless they had three weeks ago, and they don't have one to sell until this one comes in on 12/10. Hence, the note.

Elderly typcially has ALL their stock listed online. If you don't see it, they don't have it.
