New Squier Bass...Chris Aiken Model!!!!!

Actually it should sell for about $289.00 or so. The Squier VM I recently bought has an MRSP of $479.00 and I paid $279.00 for it new. It looks like Squiers on average are priced at 58% of the MRSP?
I like it, though pearl blocks on maple is kinda weird to me. I like the mirror, but I wish it wasn't plastic.
I really like Strung Out, and Aiken's work with the band, though I never would have thought that they would be in the league to get their own signature instruments. But good for him. As for me, I like it, but if I had to pick it would be the Freeman over this, just prefer the look a bit more.
Squier is really hitting these out of the park though, for the money you can't go wrong with any of the CV/VM/sig models. They must be completely gutting the sales of their MIM line. Heck, I'm sure even the MIA models are taking a bit of a hit, If you put new pickups and maybe tuners on any of these, could you really justify the extra $500+ for an MIA model (this is coming from a guy who has two MIA's)? If I was in the market for a new bass, I'd start with the Squiers, then go from up from there if I really thought they didn't cut it.

I was even surprised they gave Frank Bello a signature (not that he's undeserving).
Mirror guard on white body looks great, I never even considered such a thing. And coming from a guy who routinely leaves his tone control wide open, lack of tone knob is fine by me.

That's punk rock, man! Also, he said he was a guitar player previously and it shows but makes for some sick bass licks.
Flats on the VM, rounds on this one, most likely flats on the Tele for a dub sound, done!
