New String Buzzing

Hello .
I have recently put new string on my bass (my first time doing so)
and there is a buzz on the first fret or so on my E string .

Does anybody know what could be wrong ?

Hmm, assuming you replaced it with the same type string (gage, manufacture) and wound the string correctly on the tuner - check the saddle (spring, etc) and make sure the string is sitting on the saddle correctly, etc. Good luck.

I don't know what these strings are the were on it when I was given the bass.
Other strings are fine.

It's a good idea to do a setup every time you change strings to a different gauge or brand than the strings you had on before.

It's a good idea to do a setup every time you change strings to a different gauge or brand than the strings you had on before.

+1, sounds like a setup could help especially if you have not had one done in a while or ever.
