New string set day (NSSD)

Evening. I got 6 string sets yesterday. They have all in common that i have not tried them before, and some have very intriguing names ( Oasis, Snarling Dogs..!)

The first set i put on my JB was the Fender Flats.. So far , So good..

Dang I had to check the date on this post....I thought they quit making Snarling Dogs, Pearce, and Adamas back in the 90's!

Snarling Dogs are currently avail, dunno about the rest except Fender, and pretty sure alloy 5109 is, also, so awaiting the unbiased opinion.
If unavail sets sound great, then what?

I was just shocked to see them The owner of the company died in 1999!

Ok, now i have put the John Pearse set on my Yamaha RBX..

First impressions are that they have lot of clarity to them, tight lows and tension is similar to XL´s

They hold tuning very well, and it was easy to intonate.

The price is good compared to the quality of these strings.

Ah, didn't know you were overseas. Dunlop does not allow their dealers to ship outside of their home country so hopefully you can find them locally.

I have only bought regular Dunlop nickels here (ISL) , they sounded ok but nothing more than that.

Yeah regular Dunlops are nothing spectacular, nothing really sets them apart from any other strings. SuperBrights are like a breath of fresh air compared to most other strings

The Adamas sound very good. They are cryogenically treated. Very bright, great for slapping or tapping for example. They feel very dry to the fingertips and fingernoise is low on nickelwound standard.

This set is discontinued , certainly a collectors item.
