New: Tech 21 VT-500 Bass Amp

Got this from Sweetwater yesterday.

"Hey Brad, my name is Ryan Murray and I'm a sales engineer here at Sweetwater Sound. I received your request for information regarding teh VT500, and I'd be happy to help. My last request into Tech 21 I was told these should start shipping in August some time. Is this something you are planning to order? I'd be happy to keep an eye on it."

But I think I'd rely on what Lloyd from Tech 21 said a bit more though...

I am ordering several of these as well as the new 12" cabs and when I spoke with my rep this afternoon, he said there was a delay in shipping until the 2nd week of August.

Found this cab pic, and saw that it appears the badge is held in with screws.
Wonder if this means it could be removed and reoriented if you wanted to rotate the cab(s) vertically vs horizontally.
And the pull tab on the bottom of the grill means its probably velcro'd on so it would be easy to pull off . Maybe even make/buy your own custom grill, while still having an official badge.
Not that the cabs will be huge sellers compared to the amps anyway.

They have never been in stock...
They are due to land by boat anyday now - As a dealer with several amps on order, I was told direct by Tech21 that practically speaking it would be 3rd week in August before dealers would have them available for shipping to customers - tech21 does not drop ship, so this would be from stocking dealers only. But it could be earlier.

Oh yeah, knew they were never in stock, just found it funny that they state it that way.

The boat must have landed today! Nice! Gonna put them right on the revised schedule of end users receiving 2nd-3rd week. Can't wait to test these out! I think I purchased an RBI the month they became available and did a LOT of gigs with it. Recorded with it, too. Still like it a lot.

I've had a Programmable BDDI that I've done recording and Youtube videos with for a while, and have used a buddy's RBI he keeps racked in his studio to lay down tracks with. I was actually thinking of getting a VT-RM, then this was announced.
Since my crappy Nady poweramp finally.....crapped out, this (VT-500), is pretty much a perfect solution for me.
If funds hold up, I will be getting one soon. If not, I will get one eventually.
