There is a subsonic filter and the power amp has a limiter but it's not idiot proof. If you don't rate your speakers properly you could have problems. The cabs we have are rated at 300 watts and are 8 ohms. Running one is safe but we've tested our cabs with the units and we rate on the conservative side. Just make sure if you are using another manufacturers cab that if it's 4 ohm's it needs to handle 500 watts rms, 1000 watts peak.

By the way, in Europe the sale price is 549€, and it's said to be available at he beginning of july. Not so expensive compared to the other amps in the same power range, but still money to find to get it.
Have to wait some time before seeing it in the classified.

If it works as the VT DI, it's the Bite switch which engages the Low Pass Filter.
The Mid shift is quite intriguing too. Is it just letting choose between two mids center frequency or does it transform the mid knob in a mid frequency selector ?

The VT Bass 500 should sell for around $499 street. The matching 112 cab will be the same price. The cab weighs 38 lbs. There is no dedicated tuner output. For silent tuning you can put your tuner in the EFX loop and disengage the loop via the front panel switch. We are hoping to have the product available by mid June.

Ahem...tech21, it's June 12th. I believe most would consider this to be mid June. Still waiting on that new amp!
