New Tech21 VTBass DI

What did you think of the paradriver?

I was considering it, too, but I usually run my parametric mids on stuff at 500Hz, which is where the mid control of the VTBass DI is advertised at.

I like the paradriver, I like the BDDI, but I wish the BDDI had more control over the mids and I wish the paradriver had more high end. I had a VT earlier, but needed the DI. So I'm hoping that the VTDI will be the best of both worlds.

Yeah, I've heard the same thing from my other sources. :crying:

They think it's a component supplier problem, not Tech21.

A para driver my be in my future. Gotta have mid control.

For now, I'll probably hang on, and see if this goes on even further.

And I sold my bassbone....

I use both VT and Para-driver together for my tone. I like using the Para for EQing with the blend off. I have the VT v2 but Never turn the speaker sim off anyways because To me the VT wouldn't be the VT without the sim. Also all my drive pedals sound better through it.

Right now, It looks like I'll wait.

Although the para could do most of what I'm looking for, the new unit looks like it Has a lot of possibilities.

I'm also getting to know my recently purchased (used) programmable bass driver/DI unit.

Meanwhile, I'll try to find a para in a store and try it out.
