New (to me) amp day!

I decided to pull the trigger on a new rig! It consists of;

Genz Benz Streamliner 600, bought from BassBeginner 64 here at Talkbass

Fender Rumble 2X10 cabinet. Recommended by LHBassist

I’m very happy with this rig! It sounds better than any amp I’ve ever owned before, no matter what bass I play through it!

Great amps. I got one when I bought a stereo receiver and seller said give him an additional 25 (master section was garbled) Aged Horses flat fee plus a bit because of a dent in the metal that affected alignment of knobs and shipping, less than $200. I see it as universe's gift to me and I play it regularly and my gigging amp. Read the 2 mega thread. 10"30 on bass and mids left position for mid frequency, treble too taste and raise the gain for mild saturation/ Ampeg SVT like tone unless your cabinet is power hungry or have a very deep ports

That preamp can get grindy

Another thing I love about this amp, is knowing that if it ever has something go wrong with it, I can contact agedhorse about getting it repaired, and repaired PROPERLY! No way would I open this thing up, or trust a “friend” who works on these things.

Of course, the best thing is the tone. I mainly play basses with flatwound strings, and like a clean sound. This delivers in spades. Still working on getting different tones, and one day I’d like to try to find some of the Genz Benz Neo 12” speaker cabs, but I don’t see myself ever needing another amp ever again!
