New to technique, old to bass

Hi all and thanks for the welcomes!

I'm new to learning how to play properly and old to playing a bass guitar. Unfortunately my technique (pick) is terrible and I've been taking online lessons/advice since I purchased my new Squier Precision a couple of days ago.
