I've used the RB for the country stuff before and it actually does pretty good. Palm-mute and bump it with my thumb for the old flatwound Precision stuff, maybe roll off the treble a bit also. I'll also go higher up the neck and play over on the B-string to get a thicker sound. I don't do much funk or jazz, but I actually prefer the Jazz for those rare instances. I've got the wider P-neck on it, so it's a lot more forgiving with the wider string spacing. It also has a nice middy honk with the tapewound strings on it. The RB has a very distinct mid-growl, especially when the amp pre is pushed and/or you get aggressive with the right hand. Not bad, just different.
