New Traynor YBA 100!!

It’s good. Really good. More Gooder than regular good. A lot good. So much of good.

My recommendation would be to just get one and try it. I’d bet that it won’t be returned.
The overdrive when pushed with the gain up and digging in on the Ric was seriously addictive.
I was outdoors with 2 acoustic guitar/singers, so no drummer, so I don’t know how it will hold up in a full band/drummer scenario but I had plenty of volume to spare as it was so I’m not worried.

It’s been a couple of years since I had a YBA300 but I can definitely hear it in there.
Cranking the Master and lowering the gain is also very pleasing.
It’s a winner.

I really wanted to buy one of these, but, I was just too concerned that 100 watts wouldn't be enough. I ended up buying a Mesa Bass 400+ which probably weighs as much as 3 of these, sounds amazing though.

I can't wait to hear a video!

I have a Mesa TT-800 if I need serious volume. The YBA100 Is definitely quite a bit louder than the PF50T that I had not too long ago. The YBA100/Two10 shakes my whole house pretty good.
It’s an easy, one in each hand, carry with a gig bag on the back.

I brought a small board with a Cali76cb, Broughton Solarian/SV-Pre/Studio One on it but I never even bothered to plug that in. The amp was so good without any of it.

I would love to put it on top of a BF Six10. That would slam loud enough for pretty much anything.

How does it compare to the Boogie channel on the TT? You’re likeLy the first person on the planet who has both.

I’m gonna spend some time comparing over the next coupla days and I’ll report back.
I spent the afternoon playing Tetris with some of my boards and gear.

One thing Traynor is doing right is publishing the service manual.
They even published a change request on the head to prevent premature shutdowns.

It's clear they put a lot of thought into this head.
They built in a lot of protection circuitry and they show it clearly on the schematics. With all this protection engineered in I expect that this head has a lot less problems than typical tube heads.

Good on Traynor!

Now I think even better would be to use the Traynor dealer search from their website first and try to use one of those.

EDIT: Hard to recommend one thing without accidently disrespecting someone else. I don't intend that. As I said, if the Reverb dealer really has one, you could get it quickly!

I have tried that and whether it's because my old PC is outdated or what - I had lots of trouble finding a dealer still selling Traynor or even still in existence off that list . the guy in Missouri - also on Reverb was the most helpful and is an authorized dealer too . Both sellers are asking 729 $ for preorders - shipped . The guy in NY went up 30 $ and matched the Mo. dealer when he listed .
As an aside - I can find plenty of YBA's of various versions for less money . If the new amp sounds as good as the old YBA's - it is an easy decision . The dilemma comes if the new amp doesn't quite have the same magic - do you go for more power and a new build or go vintage tone and not worry about the added power . So far the few reviews have been very good but really , terribly vague . Hopefully someone will make a few sound clips so those of us with no shot at seeing one in a store - can better access the amps usefulness for our particular tone goals .
I know I want one but money is very tight and will it really add much that my Streamliner 600 - Yamaha PB-1 and QSC power amp and Kustom 500 amps can't do when aided by a pedal or two ? As they say " Inquiring Minds Want to Know " ..... Kelly
