Bought a used Mesa Subway D-800 amp from right here at Talkbass. Running it through a Fender Rumble 2X10 cabinet.

Let me just say, this amp is fantastic! I can see why these get such love here!
A true, clear, to the point kind of amp. Basically, I can leave the knobs at noon, with a slight boost in the low mids. After that, the instrument tone control gives me all I need, along with where you pluck the strings.

This is the last amp I will ever buy!

Yes, I love the voicing control, the range of character it offers is just brilliant. What I like about that is, you can give yourself a baked in tone, or make it really flat and it works real well with pedals and active basses. I run this with Subway cabs and yeah, it kills. Previously, I had a Mesa M9 Carbine and a Powerhouse 6 x 10 cab. I changed it over to this rig for portability reasons, and on stage I’m not missing anything. It’s different but plenty powerful
