naaa... when i was new... i made a short visit here and didn't come back for weeks because I was learning stuff from the other forums.

Eventually i got MY bass and MY amplification right ... and learned what i wanted to know about effects... and learned some theory (sometime i go back)... etc...

i got tired of those and eventually landed here... it's far more entertaining

Most people on Talkbass and especially Off Topic are actually hot female current and ex models in their 20's and 30's addicted to working out posting as middle aged and older overweight male bass players. It's really good for us...er...I mean, THOSE girls to connect with an artistic society while answering everyday questions about health issues and complex relationships. It's very grounding.
