LOL! Jim: I like the way you think! (And I like that Kawi triple in your avatar........nothing, and I mean *nothing* sounds like a Kawi triple 2-stroker with three expansion chambers! I have a friend who has one.)
And cabs? Nope, no other cabs around. I sold the last cab I had about three weeks ago. Hopefully my new Barefaced cab will arrive from England within a week or so. I will definitely post up once I have that cab and hook it up to my PF-50T and flick on the Hofner fuzz pedal!
Thanks fpr the kind words on my triple; the first one I had was a 500, the blue one is a 750.
I drove 990 miles roundtrip to spend $2,200 for all the parts in boxes.
How cool is it that after 4 years of production (1972-1975) they were banned by the insurance agency council beacuse of way too much power for the brakes and tires of the day. It was knicknamed The Widow Maker.
As a friend of mine in the UK says, if Satan had a bike, this would be it. About 120 HP and weighs 420 lbs. The 2-stroke engine is gutless until 4,500 RPM and then the front wheel is in the air. The rate of acceleration from 5K - 8K is hard to describe. I've installed modern brakes, heavily modified the suspension, changed the weight bias, modern magneto, light porting, carb. mods, etc.
I suspect that the Hofner buzz box can get an equally evil sound!
Note:
Tragically, the H2 so loud (no matter what silencers I've tried), that it's just not that cool to ride much in my quiet suburban neighborhood; thankfully my modified ZRX 1100 is extremely quiet, safer to ride, and also pretty darn quick!
