Avishai Cohen: Seven Seas - I didn't relate to this one when it came out but have just rediscovered it and I dig it.
Yo Yo Ma, et. al: Goat Rodeo Sessions - Have loved this one since it cam out, but can't stop listening.
Bonnie Raitt: Slipstream - It's Bonnie, and most of the songs are really good. 'Nuff said.
Gerald Clayton: Bond - it started with the great arrangement of "If I Were A Bell", and grew from here.

I want this thread to live! I've been exploring a lot of new music again this year and anything to help me find stuff is . Recently picked out 7 CDs from the library by people I haven't listened to before and after a first listen there are three I'm going to focus on during the next couple weeks. They are all pianists, play beautifully and have great sounding bands.

Fred Hersch - Trio Live in Europe
Beautiful, lively, surprising

Vijay Iyer Sextet - Far from Over
Interesting and varied compositions, lots of moods

George Colligan - More Powerful
Consistently upbeat, interesting rhythms
