As far as the midi goes, if I could have four patches set up so that I could hit a button and it would change a patch on both the 60b and the N at the same time, I would be happy!

Just updated following JimFist's instructions and they worked flawlessly! Thank you for the useful post!Just a couple quick tips for updating firmware and GuitarLab...
As always, before embarking on any device firmware updates, do a full backup of your presets if you've got anything created that you wish to keep.
- First, download the firmware 2.0 update for the B3n, and unzip the file (B3n NOT connected to computer)
- Fire up the B3n while simultaneously holding down the FS1 and FS2 buttons (firmware update mode)
- connect B3n to computer via USB
- open the firmware .exe file and follow instructions to update the firmware
- keep your fingers crossed, and hopefully you'll see a successful update
- disconnect the B3n USB cable
...then...
- uninstall the existing GuitarLab software
- download the new GuitarLab 3.0, and unzip the file
- launch the software installer from that zip file, and follow instructions
- keep your fingers crossed, and hopefully you'll see a successful update
- Connect the B3n via USB and re-launch GuitarLab
- you may get an initial "device not detected" message from GuitarLab, and if so, just follow instructions to search for the device, or try closing and re-opening GuitarLab (this happened to me, but quickly rectified itself).
This is what worked for me. If you don't do the firmware update FIRST, the new GuitarLab and the B3n won't be able to communicate with each other, as it seems that the editor and hardware are now linked together.
They will, just don’t hold your breath between updates, unless you really like blue!Just updated following JimFist's instructions and they worked flawlessly! Thank you for the useful post!
The new Flip Top is awesome and I LOVE the new version of GuitarLab!
Hopefully, Zoom will continue to add new patches, amp sims and effects going forward!
Go to GL and click on patches, and they should be there.Zoom's news item refers to the six new patches, but I don't see them anywhere. What am I missing?

Yeah, that's what I thought, but I went through all 150 patch slots (half of which were empty, of course) and didn't see any of them. I did learn that someone at Zoom needs to work on their UI skills. Ahem.Go to GL and click on patches, and they should be there.
Fortunately, I decided to look through that mostly-Japanese page to find the link that downloads and installs the patches. Thanks!go to news tab on the guitarlab
Zoom.na is the English sight. Much easier to navigate!Yeah, that's what I thought, but I went through all 150 patch slots (half of which were empty, of course) and didn't see any of them. I did learn that someone at Zoom needs to work on their UI skills. Ahem.

Bummer, I thought they were there a few days ago. Maybe they got pulled? And the English news page doesn't have a link to the new patches that I can see.
Thanks for doing the foot work!I thought I had posted this here, but apparently it was on the B3n Facebook page.
Go to the News tab in Guitar Lab and click on the link for FlipTop Update. On the resulting page, go to the section in the right-hand column that says ADD THESE PATCHES TO THE PATCH POOL and click on the link that says B3n Users. This will do just what it says, and then you can load them from the pool to your B3n.
Exactly like that.
i'd like that tooHoping that the new Guitar Lab interface inspires folks to be more liberal with their custom patch sharing. I like trying other peoples’ setups, especially how they organize for live performance.
Anybody know it connecting the B3n will connect straight to a powered cab, thinking of ditching my heavy 15" combi amp and using the zoom and a lighter powered cab,(Galien Krueger 12)
Will this work or is there a fundamental flaw.
They are, I do it every time I play!I don't own the B3n, but did own the B3 at one point.
I am almost certain that the amp and preamp models in the B3n are perfectly capable of driving a poweramp, in this case the poweramp in your powered cab.
Not 100% sure, but quite sure, and no harm in checking it out for yourself.
Only thing I am not really sure of is if the B3n has an output that runs on line level and impedance like the B3, otherwise you might run into problems and might need something like a DI box in between.
