Newly assembled Jag - bridge cover or no cover?

I put this Jag together over the Christmas break. I like the look of the cover, but I also like being able to play toward the bridge so I put it on as far back as possible using double sided velcro. What do you think?

I think a P bridge cover is way better looking than the GIANT J cover.

I agree... I hate J bass bridge covers, but I like the bridge cover on my P-bass.

Thanks! I don't like to drill holes to try something that out.
The other thing I've done before (to avoid holes in the body) is to drill a hole through a precision bridge cover right above where the center of the 5 bridge mounting screws goes. Then use a longer screw to hold down the cover. I cut off the mounting ears on that particular one. I had done that so I could stick a piece of foam between the cover and the bridge.
The Jag design kinda cries out for some chrome, but yeah that J cover is a bit much.
I might just get a bigger bridge - or maybe swap the bridge with the badass 2 that I have on my jazz.
