I’ve got a squier VI which has just begun to get some love after a few months laying dormant, and also recently rediscovered some clips from the Get Back documentaries showing the old bridge covers the fender ones used to come with.
On looking for one to buy, the jaguar bridge covers offered...
Anyone out there have any suggestions for something like this? I just picked up a Squire CV 70s P and have the ashtray and pickup covers on order, and I'd love to be able to mount without any drilling if possible. Double sided tape seems like a solid bet (or duct tape, bubble gum, etc.), but I'm...
First of all I want to introduce you to Dorian, my new (and actually first Fender) Jazz Made in Japan, with its superb Black Paisley (that is actually grey, gold with a hint of blue and silver).
I was trying to fix the bridge cover without drilling the mandatory holes just in case something...
I have a Fender Road Worn 50s P Bass I just picked up and I wanted to dress it up with the chrome covers. I looks great but those covers just get in the way. I find the bridge cover prevents me from muting with my palm and the pickup cover sits right over the sweet spot for plucking or...
I recently put a Gotoh 201B bridge on my MIM Jazz Bass.
I would really like to fit a standard fender jazz bass bridge cover over it. When i've tried to place it, it has to sit far enough back that the bridge cover doesn't cover the bridge pickup at all. Does anyone know of a way to get it to...
I was thinking about commissioning a leather pickguard and slapping those chrome things on that people have on their p basses but that would require a slightly thinner bridge. Can I just screw a smaller one in?
Hello everyone!
I’m looking for the ash tray from a 60s Classic Vibe P bass. It’s part number 0077335000. Apparently these are a bit larger than the standard ones so they fit over a high mass bridge.
Thanks!
Hi Guys, I would like to share a tutorial with the community, it's my way to say thank you and give back to this forum. The holes position are based on a picture of the Pino Palladino Precision and precise measured on my American Original 60s Precision, but any same size bridge will do :)
Make...
I'm doing a "dress-up" project on one of my MTD Saratoga 4 (Kingston series), and am looking for a bridge cover (chrome). I bought a standard Jazz style one, and it just doesn't fit right. The "wing"on the bass side hangs over the body contour, and looks bad, really bad. I couldn't seem to get a...
Ok folks I'm curious. Has anyone here ever put a Jazz bridge cover on a Precision? A few years back I owned a Squier Jazz and I picked one up for it. Never installed it. I ended up trading off the bass so I still have the cover. Last summer I bought a 2014 MIM Fender Precision that was on...
I just got my American Vintage '63 Precision and she is a beauty!
So after taking the bridge cover off to put some flats on it I noticed that the foam doesn't look like what I've seen on actual instruments from the period like the one in this thread:
Original muting foam on 1963 Precision -...
Fender Bridge Cover P Bass '51
Took it out of the bag, placed it on the bass with some double-sided tape, decided it wasn't for me. Includes the two screws.

Thanks!

Anyone ever seen this before? I have a 100% original, pristine 1970 P-Bass which I've owned for a while. I recently changed my strings and noticed something I'd never seen before. There is a little round, black ink symbol or figure, which I'd seen before, but at just the right angle, I can see...
I'm thinking about parting with my 74 Jazz Bass and wish to reinstall the original hardware. On the bottom side of the bridge cover is/was a foam strip that when installed on the bass, lays across the strings close to the bridge. I guess as a dampener. As it turns out, after being in storage for...
So I'm very new to using forums as I've happily bumbled along in my own little world of bassey things, but I couldn't seem to find a definitive answer to my question;
I have a Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass that I love very much. I'm currently undergoing some easy modifications like changing...
Now, I don't know if this is just bad luck or if it's the bridge cover itself but I had this issue with my MIJ Jazz Bass as well. For some reason, the bridge cover seems to be a little misaligned or something and seems to be being lifted up by the bent steel part of the bridge. Is this a normal...
hello everyone. First time posting here so i suppose ill make an introduction.
Ive been a vocalist in many local bands and am just now transitioning to bass as well. Im a little rusty with my chops and knowledge of all things bass but with time it will all come back to me (havent picked up a...
Just picked up an ashtray cover for my P bass with the intention of using it to hold some foam over the strings. From the time that I ordered it and finally got it I realized that this probably isn't something that I'm always gonna want to have "in the way". So, before I go ahead and mount it to...
ON HOLD PENDING PAYMENT
New listing to consolidate remaining parts from previous thread and add the bridge cover from the same bass, which I'd forgotten to include in the earlier thread.
These parts all came from a Precision I bought in the early 80's that had apparently had its neck replaced...

This came off of my '66 Jazz, which I still have, and it's been stored in a box for many, many years. The pictures tell the story better than I could write but basically it's in good condition. I'll ship it to your location in the 48 states for 75.00. Thank you, Tony

I put this Jag together over the Christmas break. I like the look of the cover, but I also like being able to play toward the bridge so I put it on as far back as possible using double sided velcro. What do you think?
Beginning to assemble parts for a tribute bass and would like to have both bridge and pup covers on my new axe. I'd honestly prefer a BAII but from a couple posts I've read I think they are both too wide and tall. Anyone been down this road yet?
