I don't think thats too bad really...

The painfull thing for me is that even though Chunk are in Sydney, im sure the Aussie price will be even higher than the US and i'll have to get one from the other side of the world....again...

im actually kind of happy to see that its $600 instead of $400..

they wouldent charge that much if it wasent some serious synth madness.

but you never know, they might just be ripping us off. cant wait to find out.

Think of it as paying $200 for a great filter (moog), $200 for a great octave pedal (octron, micropog), and $200 for a great fuzz (take your pick), and then getting all the other stuff for free (presets, boardspace, no tapdancing, etc.). Seems like a good deal, now, doesn't it?

And yeah, 600 might not be street price, so you might end up paying even less.

It would be nice if it could replace my envelope filter and Micro POG (doubt it could replace my Blowtorch), but the thing that has me wary is if I love the synth tones but dislike the standalone envelope or octaver. I'll probably get one anyways.

It's ridiculous aye :rollno: I always feel guilty shipping stuff half way round the planet but prices for gear in NZ is even worse than Aussie.

Im hoping the Aussie pricing is realistic due to the bad US dollar. I would much prefer to buy from BassPeople or Bass Centre. Anyone want a deep impact? ;)

600 is pretty steep. i don't think it will be replacing people octavers and envelope filters either. obviously IMO, but i've never been impressed (korg g5 and EHX BMS have filters, and they suck) with the envelope filters on synths. I like them for synth, not for filter.

I don't think I'll jump on the bandwagon. Maybe later if the thing gets great reviews and sounds like heaven, but YIKES, i could get 2 EHX BMS's or 1 Akai Deep Impact, or an actual analogue synth like a Moog Rogue or something.

I'm not too keen on the price if you can't tell...:smug:

It looks cool, but I'd have to hear some samples first. $600 is a serious piece of gear and I'm not sure I would use it much. You can justify it as replacing a synth, octave and fuzz only if you like each of those effects better than existing pedals that you probably already have on your pedal board. Plus you lose all the knobs that make pedals fun.

I'm interested, but I won't preorder. Have to wait and see what it sounds like.

Have to see how the octave effect sounds. Given that it's an all-analogue signal path with digital tracking I'm hoping it will be an uber-OC2.

IMHO the filter on the BMS is really nifty. Being able to set resonance, start, stop and rate is great. The filter from the Squeezer sounds pretty good too judging by the samples on their site.

TBH I'd rather buy a cheaper unit that would just give me the analogue waveform synthesis, but the octave sounds promising and I would've bought a Brown Dog by now if I hadn't been waiting for this pedal anyway, so I'm not too bothered about buying this "bundle".
