I also can't get over that people are getting so excited about 3 pictures and a feature list. There's no sound clips and there's no real description of what it does. All there is, especially in this thread is all kinds of inferred meaning, conjecture and hype. What if it's a basically a glorified SYB-5, with a tuner?

I don't deny that it looks cool, I don't deny that it appears to have the right features. I also don't deny that I've been impressed with the Chunk Pedals I've had the pleasure to use in the past. All of that said, don't get so caught up in the hype.

I do find it mildly amusing that the guys mocking the "hype" in this thread are the ones who often espouse the virtues of boutique "Emperor's New Fuzz" pedals in every other thread.

Maybe if it came in a glittery enclosure with a fancy LED it would sound better.

i also enjoy the likes of crappy cheap pedals such as DOD 250, Boss HM-2, EHX Little Big Muff, Guyatone Zoom Box, EHX Bassballs, and a **** ton of other cheap crappy pedals.


dude and for the last time, glittery enclosure's and blue/purple LED's are scientifically proven to enhance tone by +10, so we can finally put that to bed:)

I don't own a fuzz pedal so you can't be talking about me.

I think the enclosure is pretty swish - and I especially like the digital readout . . . but you're missing my point.

Hype has to be all about the sound and at the moment noone knows what this pedal sounds like. Despite this massive omission in our knowlegde there's the usual minority of overly excitable people (which incidently conincides with the people that post here hourly about new FX, but never about playing out with their band) who are hailing this pedal as the Second Coming.

I just find it amusing.

I think it is funny to expect that this pedal was going to be LESS than $600...

Don't like it??? Go out and buy the replacements... A Deep Impact will run you a good $400 to $600, and is used... a Micro Bass Synth is what, $300 and does less than half of the OS...

You of course can add the BSW from Digitech, with all of 7 sounds... Add the SYB 3/5 in for good measure and the Ibanez synth for good measure, and you are still a good 40 sounds short of the OS...

On top of that, buy the Agent 00Funk, and Brown dog, and add the synths...

DI: $400
BSW: $80
MBS: $300
Brown dog: $150 (ebay)
00Funk: $175 (Talkbass)
SYB-3: $70 (Ebay)
SYB-5: $100 (ebay)
Ibanez synth: $70

Total: $1350+, with out an OC-2 octave pedal, or a peterson tuner....

Christ, just STFU and buy it or, GTFO!!!!!

heres a question thats bugging me.

assuming it is very, very good, and the best sounding bass synth out there, does anyone think itd be worth it for me to buy it- even though i already own a seperate unit for everything it can do except for the synth sounds? (and many combonations of my pedals are very synthy..)

i have fuzz, i have an envelope filter, i have octaves. do i need synth for $600? i guess a pedalboard with about 12 pedals might as well be capable of EVERYTHING..?
