Next Benavente SCD6 progress thread

That's a beauty!! Don't change it!!
yeah, I'm sticking with that.
Just ditch it for a P bass (kidding......) ;)

I dig it, although I'd personally like some sort of mac ebony or maybe cocobolo or pao fero to go with that top, maybe even brazilian rosewood if ya can get it. Perhaps some matchin' pickup covers would be nice....if you're into that sort of thing.
thanks for sharing that with us... :smug:

Since I have a fretless with a cocobolo FB, I was cool with going without it on this one. As for the Matching Macc p/up covers and Macc fb, yeah that was what my original SCD had, but this one is way stripped-down in comparison. I just wanted to go back to having a more simplified/versatile version of what I had before... in a 6-string format.

Did they already plant the tree? ;):D

Actually I think that Chris went ahead and picked out some Koa and might have started gluing the body up, but I could be wrong.

A few days ago I had some finish and neck questions for Chris regarding my Fender Jazz (he's very helpful BTW), but we really didn't talk much about the SCD6, just that he has some killer Koa for it.

At 4 in the morning? Does Chris ever sleep? You did tell him that it's OK to sleep at night, didn't you?

Sounds like it's getting close to time to schedule a trip to Hotlanta!
no Eric, that was just me that being up at that hour... Brian just told me yesterday during the day and it took a little while for the excitement to set in. :hyper:
