Next big dist/od/fuzz user

Perhaps Chris Ross from Wolfmother? They're an aussie band with a bit of the Deep Purple/Sabbath/Kyuss vibe, they have a song (Love Train) in one of the Ipod commercials.

He uses a Rickenbacker, mostly, and doubles on organ. He has some pretty nasty distorted sounds.....

“The Electro-Harmonix preamp gives the organ all that warmth and drive.”

I saw wolfmother tonight on Conan O'brian.

Pretty sweet bass tone. I like the 4001/svt combo. Very chris squire esque.

The "unknown" delay pedal was a EH deluxe memory man. He did some self oscillating thing at the end of his keyboard solo. Cool stuff.

The Wolfmother album is one of the few gems of my collection of 600+ CDs. It also got me headbanin' from the 1st song, which hasn't happened in a while!
