NFL 2017 Week #10

Ezekiel Elliott is suspended again after the injunction request was denied, again. Round and round we go on this one.
The NLFPA is going to screw this one up and find Elliott suspended into the playoffs.

I was so busy at work yesterday I totally forgot about the Cards' TNF game. Until I got on the freeway heading home. Or should I say the mobile parking lot heading home.Traffic was so bad it took me nearly twice as long as normal.

Still, not as bad as the Thursday night game a year or so ago against the Vikings. Traffic was so horrendous it took me nearly 90 minutes for what is usually a 40 minute drive.

What's worse is that even after fighting traffic most of the way home, I had something to take care of and ended up not even watching a minute of the game. :rage: But judging by the comments above the most interesting thing about the game was the uniforms. Sounds like I didn't miss much
Hopefully I'll make up for it this weekend!

With these goofy colored jerseys and games on all the time, it's disappointing to me how commercialized the game has become. People are out to squeeze every penny from this sport they can, and no one in the NFL is going to stop it.
Instead, they are looking for more ways for more people to squeeze more money from it.

Assuming they make the playoffs. If the season ended right now they'd miss out. They need to find a way to win with out Zeke to even think about a wild card (assuming Philly doesn't fall apart).

Is this just a "freak" injury year to NFL's various superstars, or is it a signal of things to come and that maybe something needs to be looked at or developed to increase player safety, like converting to 2-hand touch (kidding)?

Richard Sherman wrote an article last year arguing for getting rid of TNF games, saying it puts too much strain on the body and results in bad games.

I was happy to be totally wrong about my prediction that Denver's defense would be out to prove a point after having their butts kicked by the Eagles. NOPE. It's hard to believe that the Pat's O-line is that good, but I think it's more that Denver's defense is slowly turning into the same kind of mess that their offense is. But for the Pats, any win you can get at mile high is a good win, even if the Broncos didn't really show up. Yikes. Yuck.
