NFL 2018 Week #1

Aaron Rodgers was amazing in that game. His left leg was mostly a prop to keep him from falling over...he couldn't rotate the knee, use it for a plant or really do anything other than stand (gently) on it. But his team knows that when he's in, they can win.

He and the receivers, especially Cobb, tore up the Bears. That was a memorable game!

I also like Trubisky - he looks to have all the pieces to become at least a really good QB, and maybe a great one. But he's not quite there yet.

I have mixed feelings on the Seahawks, especially playing the Broncos after all the grief they've gone through the last couple of years. It was hard not to root for the Broncos. I do think that if the Seahawks don't get the O-line playing better, Wilson is likely to be on the IR list before long. But I don't envy any QB playing Bradley Chubb and Von Wilson; they're going to turn most O-lines into swiss cheese this year. (I just happen to have the Broncos D on my fantasy team this year.)

I think a lot of people missed the fact that the Broncos D lost only Aquib Talib, and gained a top draft pick in Chubb. I expect their D to be formidable all season.

Watching Khalil Mack last night on one week of being with the Bears with no pre season work at all and no "legs" under him...I thought the Raiders were Chip Kelly-ed

That dude can really play. The Raiders screwed the pooch when they let him go.

Great opening weekend for the seven new NFL coaches. They all combined to go 0-7. Wrapped up by two blowouts on Monday night.
The Lions ran off Jim Caldwell after back to back winning seasons, and trotted out their new guy tonight. All he does is look lost like Mike Tomlin while fielding a team that looked unprepared and equally lost, then proceed to get the biggest debut blowout loss in 10 years of NFL head coaching debuts, and there have been plenty of those over the last 10 years.
