I wasn't playing the video to prove anything about Seattle, or anything negative about New Orleans. This conversation just reminded me of how cool that video is timed to the Mario Bro's music.
I was going to post this picture, but it doesn't have the same coolness to it. Although seeing Boz is cool.

coach McCarthy's "use by" date had expired. There was an obvious rift between him and Rodgers. Everyone believed the play calling had become predictable and stale. There were indications he had lost some of the locker room. It was time. I wrote in last week's thread at 315pm once they had unceremoniously been beaten by the lowly Cardinals that it was 60/40 he'd be fired by the end of the week. He was fired about 6pm Sunday evening. I think I speak for most of Packer Nation when I say he was liked, we appreciate everything he did including a Superbowl championship and numerous division titles and perennial playoff victories, that he's one helluva human being and an upright citizen and huge supporter of our local UW Children's Hospital, but that it was time. It was just time.

The key is Jimmy Haslam. I think he would seem to be the safe choice by the owner, but I’m getting a feeling that John Dorsey has the hots for Lincoln Riley. Either way, the Browns job would be very attractive if not for the owner with an itchy head coach firing trigger finger. It’s off-putting to established coaches who might otherwise be interested.

Considering the Browns' recent history, having an itchy coach firing trigger finger isn't all that surprising. A little stability would do the franchise a world of good, though. They seem to have a start, assuming something that could only happen to the Browns doesn't happen to the Browns.

So, we got hammered with a winter storm here in NC (well....there's about 1" of snow on the ground, and now it's freezing rain...), and the southern edge of this storm is hitting the Gulf Coast, including Tampa, so:

UPDATE: The weather in TB will be crap today, 100% chance for rain. More of a slog than a track meet, but essentially the same outcome - passing game for both teams will be negatively effected, but the Saints can run the ball, and stop the run when they're on defense; the Bucs on the other hand....so, revised score: Saints 34 Bucs 13

So far, it was a good day for football.

Saints showed up in the 2nd half and reminded everyone in the NFC South who DADDY is.

Every other team in the NFC South LOST - including a classic fail by the Pampers and sCam on a wide open receiver in the endzone on a 4th down to lose to the Browns. The Can't Nootuns will run their streak to 6 next Monday night. :D

The Chiefs-Ravens game was fantastic, even though I got the pick wrong.

(Apologies to @Pacman ) Watching the end of the Pats-Phins game was pretty exciting, another "got it wrong, but I'm OK with that" pick.

Hoping for the rest of Sunday to go well - Eagles beat Cows and Bears beat Rams for a perfect end to the day (fingers crossed)

The Browns just un-eliminated themselves up to a point. All they have to do is win out to maybe make the playoffs. Considering that a five win season is also impossible for the Browns, but here they are, unlikely is pretty good odds for the Browns.
