NFL 2019 Week #10

I was all in with the trade from day one, so glad to see it paying off and some of the doubters are quieted.
If the Steelers were to lose out from here, I am confident they would not be able to draft a player as ready and as good as Minkah is in the upcoming draft.
A good trade for the Steelers, and it will likely help the Dolphins too. Ain't nothing wrong with a deal where both teams benefit.

Yeah, I'm guilty of questioning that trade. While I wasn't adamantly opposed to the trade, I did have my doubts. It didn't look like they'd be able to beat a Division II college football team early in the season, so I was thinking they'd end up with their highest draft pick in decades. But Minkah has been instrumental in turning it around, so I'm happy to admit that I was wrong.

Great game last night. The only thing I didn't get was the roughing call on the punt catch. I understand the new rule on protecting defenseless players from Jack Tatum type hits, but there was no fair catch. What's next, no hitting someone right after they catch a pass?

It was indeed a great game, and what a nail-biter, especially the 4th & 5th going to the last seconds on the clock. I wasn't sure about the roughing call either without it being a fair catch.

I never once thought Seattle was going to lose tonight. I suppose that would have looked better had I said it last week when I was thinking it.
Because of his Super Bowls, Brady is holding on to best QB in the NFL, but without those it is Russell Wilson.
Lamar Jackson is great, so is Drew Brees. Patrick Mahomes puts on a show too, but they all line up behind Wilson.

He made some uncharacteristic mistakes last night and still managed to pull it out. You get no arguments from me. It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Wilson managed to string together a career that eclipses Brady's by the time he's done. I hope so, because I actually like Wilson and want to see him do well.

There were a few calls like that during the game. One was a hit on the SF QB that was almost unavoidable by the guy making the tackle. I don't remember who got called, just that Garoppolo ducked into the tackle and got hit. The defender also ducked a little, which, I guess, was the reason for the flag. It is what it is. As long as the calls are applied across the board, it will eventually come out in the wash.

I feel bad for the rookie kicker on the Niners. But, I'm happy that Meyers bounced back from last week. Seattle gets a nicely timed bye week next week. They have been reasonably healthy all season, unlike a whole lot of other teams. If Lockett is just bruised, that week might be all he needs to be back to full speed again.
